Another interpretation of a Roxanne Huber photo, taking my first version in a more daring direction. I tried to consciously push myself to do something that I wasn’t quite sure would work, like in her left breast where the area of solid teal green appears to be coming out of her mouth and the breast itself has layered lines something akin to a shell.

For me, these line drawings are a constant progression of studies, i.e. opportunities to explore and learn something new and, most especially, to expand my safe zone through experimentation.

So, where to from here? Well, I suppose it’s time to test out the pens on my well gessoed canvas board… tranquility iii.

One step closer to painting, the eternal medium.
